Quit Smoking
Hypnosis is a very effective smoking cessation tool. 80% of my clients quit after one session. If the former smoker slips, I will hypnotize them again for free. While smoking is a addiction, and hypnosis is a good modality for additions. At the beginning of your session, together, we discuss your benefits you will have when you quit -- your health (no one lives longer because they smoke), being proud when you quit, your family's fears that you are going to die, etc. It is exciting when you quit!

Weight Loss
Pretty much everyone knows what we should eat. Unfortunately, there are more issues surrounding eating that make it hard for us to lose weight and keeping it off. We eat because we are bored, angry, sad, stressed and more. That is where hypnosis can help - to change the relationship that you have with food. We work together to change the feelings and habits that will get in the way of your weight loss plan. It usually takes 5-6 sessions to get you on the road to lose weight. If you slip or hit a "plateau," you come back for a tune-up. Our goal is for you to lose the weight forever, so that you don't need a hypnotist again.
Test Anxiety
I suffered from this in college and the help I got in school inspired me to be a hypnotist.
Test preparation classes will not help you if you are scared to take the test. The classes definitely help. They teach you how to study effectively, use practice tests and become "test wise." If you are still scared, or there is a lot of pressure riding on your test, a hypnotist can reduce the fear. Three or four hypnosis before, during or after the classes will help you feel comfortable and confident that you will do well.
Insomnia/Better Sleep
Lately, more people come to me for sleep problems than anything else. Insomnia is more than being tired. The inability to sleep, or the inability to fall back to sleep, can impact your health, too. It can cause substance abuse, bad eating habits, depression , and anxiety. It can impact your relationships. Insomnia can also cause a risk of long-term conditions like heart disease and high blood pressure.
Hypnosis can help you reduce the stress and reprogram your relationship with sleep.
Hot Flashes, from Menopause or Chemotherapy
Really?? Yes, hypnosis can relieve your hot flashes. Have you been at a meeting and you feel a hot flash coming on, either feeling it, or getting the "aura" that sometimes comes before the hot flash? You feel your chest and face turn red and sweaty. It's embarrassing and you want to run away. Or you wake up in the middle of the night drenched. Pretty awful. Hypnosis can help you dial down your internal thermometer so that the hot flash goes away within moments, instead of 15 minutes.

Sports and School Performance
Tennis, team sports, as well as changing study habits, start first in the mind. Ask anyone who plays golf, "90% is in the head." Olympic athletes use hypnosis to help with anxiety and focus, whatever the sport; but they rarely tell anyone about it. The competition is too great.
